Old car woes

I do love a good episode with old cars and season three will feature a Fiat X1/9, a Lancia Gamma and an Alfa Romeo GTV6. Even better, one of them breaks down and Jeremy was forced to go green. IT's probably staged but I don't care.

I love the quirkiness of old vehicles, and how it gives them their own unique character. I think we've lost some of that with all the technology that's being put in cars these days.

I don't miss the large repair bill from one of my old cars 20 years ago, the cars these days seem more reliable. But they definitely won't give you the same knee jerk experience older cars can when the steering is off or brakes are acting shifty.

At least with old cars you have the capability to do basic repairs yourself. With how much of them is now electrical/computerized those days have long since passed. A lot of new cars can't even be hooked up to universal diagnostic machines, so you have to take them to the dealership. I'm hoping Clarkson, Hammond and May attempt to do some roadside repairs.
